OBS days
DAy !---16 nov
well we found out that our camp was not a mobile one...liddat oso good la...can have proper toilets all that stuffs...then we know our grps..was seperated frm liyue and yvonne...they went to Gandhi while i went to Rajaratnam with Stella, Valarie, Wei Qin, Wen Qin , Leon and Bruce...then we oso combining with Clementi Town Sec ppl with Christine, Timothy, Clement, Jun Jie, Germaine, Jun Yang, Sharon and Siti...man the guys there are really shuai lor..i mean clementi town sec de...they not only shuai...they oso v gentlemen and thoughtful de...so much better than the guys in xinmin...anyhow find one oso better than xinmin de..hahaz..
then after introduction all that stuffs...we went down to serious business...went to learn how to kayak...this is my first time man...really exciting...i partner stella and we like kayak a short distance only though it seems quite long...then after that we had to capsize and mus do rescuing de...so stella and i capsize and wen qin and leon mus 'rescue' us..wah i think that was fun man...love to be in the water...can swim all i want...but after the kayak was in place...we had difficulty getting up the kayak again...it was like so obscene lor...no yi tai at all de...hahaz..but who cares la..
then i was damn suay too...while washing up...my water bottle fall and broke my new frame specs...damn sian lor..but gideon(our instructor) say he'll help me fixed it at night...so sweet sia... :p then danny's shoes that he lent me oso spoil...coz i think he v long nv take out and wear oso ba...then i had no choice but to take out the sole of it lor...otherwise v gaowei...hope he dun mind man...it was really back to basics lor...sianz...
Day 2---17 nov
well sleeping at the dorms wasnt v bad...in fact it was great...jus like a chalet...and the toilets and facilities not bad lor...still can hang our wet clothes...we had to wake up b4 5.55 for PT...so early man...then my specs gideon help me fixed didnt really work...it was spoil too...haiz...so have to be blind for the rest of the days le...then today wasnt quite nice as yest...went to learn belaying, trust-fall all that...it was quite sian leh...then we had to climb the v tall elements thingy...i climb with wen qin...it was my first time too...and i didnt know it was sooo shaky..wah cant stand it...was like shaking all the way...cant get up man...then later it started to rain...stupid sia cannot finish the thing...then we went to the MPH for another set of elements..this one need to climb some poles de..require lots of teamwork...then i was the last to go and i did it with bruce somemore...(-_-")..v diaoz...then it was scary as well..so shaky and i was nervous..but then i rmb wen qin told me that to accomplish this mus really trust ur partner de..so i told myself to trust bruce la..well not bad la...went up quite fast up till the 2nd last pole lor...but i think i could have done better...
then after that we went for dinner and were told that the nx day we'll have a sea expedition...was kinda excited actually...hehez...
Day 3---Sea Expedition/18 nov
well woke up at the same time too...and went for PT..then in the early morning we had to go for our sea expedition...we are going to kayak around almost the whole of pulau ubin...i partner with jun yang...dun really know him actually...but then nvm la...mus interact more with other ppl oso ba...so at first it was quite easy...i thought it was quite fun and after that when we reach a certain part of the island..the tides start to get higher and it was extremely difficult to padal...the instructors oso said that was the hardest part and we cannot afford to rest...i was like..wah v gao wei...v pek chek...then i think i didnt padal properly oso...keep hitting onto jun yang's padal...think he oso pissed off ba...everyone is..and i felt bad having such a bad temper...then finally went we went to the gentler sides...wah so relieved...and it was finally lunch time...our lunch was v cute man...we sat on the kayak and ate our lunch...one hands holding on to each other's kayak..but i regret not knowing jun yang more sia..
then we went up and our instructors brought us to the quarry where there is fresh water and we did our quarry jump there..wah it was heavenly man...so refreshing lor...can wash away all the salt in our hair and the sand in our shoes...so shiok!!
then after that we finally reached our campsite...it was v small and cram...and the toilet was by the shore...cool huh...and we wanan change or do business or wateva..mus have ppl cover u with poncho de...so ma fan lor...and it was the first time we cook our own dinner instead of eating in the cookhouse..timothy was a good cook...not bad..the noodles not v soggy and though the food wasnt as good as wat we usually had..it was ok i guess.. at night it was so dark that there's nth u can do there..i slept quite well..it was dry and everything and i was tired i guess...but at 2 am we woke up becoz of the kelong v noisy..hahaz..sing karaoke de lor...but wasnt quite affected actually
Day 4---Land Expedition/19 nov
we heard tales frm the other grps that today was going to be tough one...need to walk abt 10 km...was kinda scared that the bags too heavy...but after that..we completed the walk in a v short while....by 1 plus we reach campsite 1 already...which is very very near the obs centre...everything didnt seem tat bad actually ya..then we cooked our dinner again and tried to finsih up all the food...today we had more food lor and it was really a feast...alot of us get burnt frm yest's kayaking and christine's was the worst..she's really in pain man...then stella (our medic) was really busy helping her dress and all that...
then after that at night..we went for a nightwalk...jus a v short one..bout 10 mins..then guess we were at?? we were at obs centre man!! so happy...like go back to ur home liddat..then gideon let us have a 15 min toilet break...so cool...finally can see myself in the mirror...look like a panda lor...my eyes were sunburnt coz i think i didnt apply sunblock evenly...totally ugly..
some of the Gandhi ppl say they saw things they shouldnt see...i wasnt really afraid of that coz i didnt see it..but i believe it was there..then we were told to walk back half of journey ourselves..alone..actually i wasnt afraid at all...i kinda enjoy it and i dun mind...i jus kept looking straight and keep my thoughts straight too...it was really fun la
then it started raining...so we had to quickly go back to our campsite and pack our stuffs b4 it gets wet..but it was kinda too late...the ground sheet we're sleeping on is all muddy and wet already...but everyone bear with it...then until 12 am liddat..i still cant sleep..coz more and more water was collecting at my area and my back was totally wet...and i was feeling kinda dizzy too so i sat up...i really felt v helpless...dunno wat to..i cant go out and have a walk or wat coz itz pouring like mad ourside..then stella saw me and accompany me too...then christine follow too...i was really touched they do that man...really appreciate tat..then after that valarie woke up too and she went to look for the boys and ask them to look for gideon..but we wait so long le..weiqin woke up oso...and val is not back..then we heard she fell asleep there le...hahaz...so left stella, christine, weiqin and me...we sat up and talk and share secrets and gossips...and it got my mind out of the rain..i felt kinda cosy in there...then after that jun jie and clement came and he helped us start a fire..so that we'll not be so cold...and they even brought in some food and water..so sweet of them lor...that's y i say clementi guys are soo much better...bruce is still like sleeping all the way lor...then after that it got even cosier...germaine woke up too...and we all sat around the fire...it was really cold lor..it seems like itz winter and we're crowding round the fireplace...cant believe itz happening in s'pore too...then the fire made us warmer i guess..and all of us start to feel sleepy...we v pathetic lor...cant lie down to sleep...we sat up and sleep lor...v xin ku of coz...and even my track pants was wet already..disgusting like hell lor...time like passes so slowly...finally at 5 am they went to look for the instructors and we seek shelter at the motor hut there...it was no better actually...i hate putting on the poncho..coz my arm hurts and the poncho is full of sand which hurts too...then we had breakfast all that there..all of us were so wet and tired and dirty..haiz..it was really a mental obstacle man...
Day 5---yeah! finally...20 nov
we walk back the same path as last night to the obs centre..it was a very quick one...and i dun mind walking in the rain anymore..coz we are finally going back to have a bath...then we went there...pack our stuffs...clear up all that...and finally can bathe le..after 2 days...so happy...so after that the usual things..we exchange contacts with everyone and let's hope we'll keep in contact...
then after we reach punggol...wen qin treat all of us ice cream man..wah i think he's really in a very good mood...maybe coz can finally go home le ba..then liyue and i instead of going home...we went angie's hse in the first place...and once we reach there..we keep blabbering away wat he went thru..wat happen all that...wah it felt so cool...it's so good to have such nice frens sia...
well i love these 5 days...really a very good experience for me...well i think if there's a chance i'll go to obs again maybe a few yrs later..when i forgot how tough it'll be..hahaz...well monday needa go for sl intensive le..i think i better rest early and recover frm my aches...well cya~
